Objective
Germany's customs service, Zoll, needed a better way to recruit trainees and students after brochures and career fairs stopped reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Zoll Campus meets that audience inside Roblox, giving them a quick, playable sense of what customs work in aviation, finance and IT actually involves and helping them judge whether the job fits. A wearable-prize system also puts the Zoll brand in front of players across Roblox, beyond the experience itself.
Solution
Players arrive on campus as a new customs recruit and use the dormitory and academy as their home base, chatting with student NPCs and picking up career insights from professors. From there they head into three mini-games built around real customs work: Wimmel Wirrwarr, a spot-the-contraband search through airport luggage; Steuer Check, a finance-and-tax decision game; and Server Search, an IT troubleshooting challenge. Along the way they answer quiz questions and hunt for hidden collectibles, racking up points that push their rank up a campus leaderboard. Strong runs unlock limited-edition wearables like the Zollkappe cap and the HALT ZOLL LED glasses, which players can then wear in any other Roblox game. A companion #GenerationZoll challenge sent people hunting for the leaderboard's top-ranked players in exchange for prizes, carrying the campaign outside the experience itself.
Results
All 3,000 limited-run UGC wearables were claimed within days of launch, and the experience drew more than 25,000 visitors in its first month. As of September 2026, it had logged 34,170 total visits and 402 favorites.

Players find Zoll Campus by searching for it in the Roblox app or via the 'Zum Spiel' button on zoll-karriere.de, installing Roblox first if needed.

The avatar spawns as a customs newcomer outside the campus, beneath a large 'ZOLL CAMPUS' sign, and can walk a shared hub linking the dormitory, lecture halls and academy with up to 20 other players per server.

The player talks to NPC students in the dormitory and NPC professors in the academy and lecture halls, who describe student life and the theory behind customs work.

Three themed mini-games cover different customs career tracks: 'Wimmel Wirrwarr', a hidden-object challenge set in airport customs; 'Steuer Check', a tax-and-finance task; and 'Server Search', an IT challenge.

Around the campus the player also answers quizzes on customs topics and hunts for hidden collectibles, testing their knowledge to find a customs career that suits them.
