- 1
The game opens directly inside the Browns' house at 32 Windsor Gardens, showing a hand-drawn room from the series and a 3D-rigged Paddington standing in it, with no text briefing.
- 2
An on-screen checklist names the objects to find in the current room, giving the player a running goal to check against as they search.
- 3
Players move the mouse to look around each room and travel between rooms, then click on spotted items so Paddington walks over and picks them up himself.
- 4
Some listed items are hidden behind pieces of the scenery; clicking those interactive objects reveals the item tucked behind them.
- 5
Each correct find triggers one of Paddington's excited animations, with his face and gesture reacting to the discovery.
- 6
The opening level is the kitchen, where the player gathers pancake ingredients and utensils such as eggs, milk, flour, and a mixer for Paddington's family breakfast.
- 7
Clearing a room's list doesn't just cut to the next scene: the current screen folds and turns like a page in a picture book to reveal the next room.
- 8
The game progresses through the house helping each of the six Brown family members in turn, each with their own room and item list — Mr. Brown needs his bike, helmet, and briefcase for work, a boy in the family needs toys and bath things, and Jonathan needs his binoculars.
- 9
Alongside the checklist items, rooms hide collectible postcards; gathering them unlocks bonus images of Paddington and his adventures.
Objective
Nickelodeon wanted to keep preschoolers engaged with its new CGI series "The Adventures of Paddington" beyond the TV screen, giving young fans a chance to play with the bear right as the show launched and deepening their connection to the Nick Jr. brand. Since the audience couldn't read yet, the experience had to work entirely without words.
Solution
Players open on a room inside the Browns' house at 32 Windsor Gardens, with a picture list of items to find pinned across the top of the screen. Moving the cursor around the scene reveals hiding spots, and some items are tucked behind other objects that need a click to uncover first. Spotting an item and clicking it sends Paddington ambling over to grab it, celebrating each find with its own little animation. Once a room is cleared, the screen folds shut like a storybook page and flips over into the next one. The game moves through the Brown family member by member — pancakes in the kitchen, Mr Brown's things for work, bath-time items for the boy — six rooms in all, with hidden collectible postcards along the way that unlock bonus Paddington artwork once gathered.
