Objective

General Electric aimed to showcase technological innovation and performance capabilities during the 2012 Super Bowl season through interactive entertainment. The campaign positioned GE's technological power by creating competitive experiences where viewers could engage with machine-versus-human challenges in real-time.

Solution

Performance Machines was a series of nine interactive online battles where NFL players competed against GE machines in various challenges using voice and keyboard commands. The website (hosted on NBC Sports platform) allowed fans to participate by helping NFL athletes win against the machines through voice inputs and keyboard controls. The campaign was produced by BBDO New York (creative), Dinahmoe (interactive/audio design), and ACNE Production, with technical direction by Martin Pagh Ludvigsen.
