Objective

Loox, a social proof platform helping brands build trust and drive sales, launched Lost In Space as a dual-purpose campaign in May 2024. The interactive game served to showcase Loox's capabilities for creating engaging digital experiences while simultaneously functioning as an innovative employer branding initiative to attract creative and technical talent to the company.

Solution

Lost In Space is a browser-based playable game with retro arcade aesthetics blended with modern web design. Players select from three character variants—space, water, or fire donkeys—each with distinct attributes (strength, magic, speed). The gameplay involves navigating asteroid belt challenges with level-up progression mechanics. Throughout the experience, players encounter 'stellar reviews' and team testimonials that underscore Loox's social proof positioning. Workplace benefits are integrated as game mechanics (hybrid work, dog-friendly office, stock options). The game culminates with a prominent call-to-action: 'Wanna join our stellar team?' linking to profiles of six team members on LinkedIn. The experience was built in-house by Dan Azoulay, Loox's Motion Design Lead, using responsive web design and WebM video format for interactive elements.

Results

Loox Lost In Space received an Awwwards Honorable Mention on May 14, 2024, earning 15 of 64 community votes. The campaign was also featured as a Muzli Design Community pick. No published metrics regarding player engagement (plays, time in game, acquisition numbers, or hiring conversions) were found in available sources.
