Objective
Supercell built the crossover to keep Clash of Clans' huge daily base raiding through all of September, using the real off-game rivalry between WWE stars Cody Rhodes and John Cena — who plays Clash himself and claims Rhodes got him kicked out of his clan — as the hook. The tie-in was also a way to pull WWE's fan base into the game, sell hero skins and Gold Pass upgrades, and build buzz ahead of WWE Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans.
Solution
Players spend September raiding enemy villages as they normally would, but some raids now drop special WWE chests. Opening one can turn up a Challenger Contract, which opens a 24-hour window to attack John Cena's otherwise-hidden village. Land that raid and the game hands over an exclusive Cody Rhodes-themed decoration for the player's base. Alongside the hunt, players can unlock six hero skins modeled on WWE stars, field temporary WWE-themed troops, and jump into the Money in the Bank Rush and WWE Equipment Blast events, all set against new Money in the Bank base decorations.
- 1
The player opens Clash of Clans during a seasonal event themed around the real-life rivalry between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, with the app icon and a hero skin's look and music changed to reflect it.

- 2
The player's core loop is unchanged: regular multiplayer raids on other players' villages. The more raids the player runs, the higher the chance of uncovering Cena's hidden village.
- 3
Raids also drop special WWE-themed chests tied to two limited-time sub-events; chests yield resources, event currency, decorations, equipment, a guaranteed hero skin, and "Challenger Contracts."
- 4
Each Challenger Contract grants 24 hours of access to a special attack on Cena's hidden, heavily defended base.
- 5
Raid outcomes scale with star rating: two stars unlocks a themed decoration, while three stars yields bigger rewards, including a one-time Cody Rhodes statue.
- 6
Progression runs through a rotating shop: hero skins styled as WWE stars go on sale one at a time on a fixed schedule for real money, with one skin reserved for season-pass holders; none return after the event.
- 7
Through the month, players can also equip rotating WWE-themed base decorations and temporary troop types that cycle in and out.
- 8
The season ends after about a month: the WWE skins and decorations are removed from the game, but players keep whatever loot and rewards they earned.
