Objective

Vetoquinol needed to introduce Mastatest — a diagnostic tool that pinpoints which bacteria are causing clinical mastitis so vets can prescribe a targeted antibiotic — to a specialist audience of livestock vets and vet students at a three-day industry conference. The stand game gave them a reason to stop, learn the product story, and hand over their contact details, while keeping the booth lively across the whole event.

Solution

At the Vetoquinol stand, a visitor sits down at a tablet — or scans a QR code to play on their own phone when the tablets are busy — and starts by entering their details on a short sign-up screen. Next comes a quiz on mastitis treatment and the Mastatest product, one question feeding into the next. Finishing the quiz drops the player straight into a bubble shooter, where the mastitis-causing bacteria are hidden inside the bubbles and popped with matching shots. The quiz score and the shooter score combine into one final number, which lands the player on a leaderboard shown live on a TV at the booth. Each evening the top five names win a prize and the board resets, so the ranking starts clean the next morning and regulars have a reason to come back and beat their score.

Results

78% engagement rate and 84% completion rate among players at the event.

How it plays

7 steps
  1. 1

At the Vetoquinol booth, a TV shows a live leaderboard of vets' names and scores, drawing conference visitors toward two tablets set up for play; when both are in use, a QR code lets a visitor play the same game on their own phone instead.

  2. 2

Before playing, each visitor fills out a single lead-generation form; that one entry carries across both games in the Combo experience.

  3. 3

The experience opens with a quiz on Vetoquinol's product and on the targeted treatment of clinical mastitis, with each correct answer adding to the player's score.

  4. 4

The quiz feeds directly into a branded bubble shooter: the player aims with a finger or mouse, using a trajectory guideline, and fires bubbles to match three or more of the same colour, bursting clusters that depict the bacteria responsible for mastitis.

  5. 5

A new row of bubbles drops every 30 seconds, raising the pressure, and clearing more bubbles in a single shot earns more points; the round ends when the board is cleared or when the bubbles reach the bottom and the player loses a life or the game.

  6. 6

The quiz and bubble-shooter scores combine into a single total, showing the player's rank on the shared leaderboard displayed live on the booth's TV.

  7. 7

Each day of the three-day conference, the top five players win a prize at the stand and the leaderboard resets, letting players return and compete again from zero.
