Objective

Paultons Park runs three seasonal games a year to sell tickets and grow a permission-based email list, capturing zero-party data from families who've already shown interest. Each game is timed to a specific hook — a new dark ride, the Easter reopening, the park's Peppa Pig World zone — to keep the brand warm with visitors between seasons and push them toward ticket and ride pages.

Solution

Coming in from a social post, the player lands on a game page on the park's own site and reads the challenge — beat 30 seconds, score 100 points in 45 seconds, or hit 500 points within a minute, depending on the game. They get one quick arcade attempt: solving a puzzle, catching ghosts around Ghostly Manor, or hunting eggs for the Easter edition. Hit the target and a form appears, asking for an email to enter a prize draw for tickets, family passes, or a gift card. After playing, a button points them straight back into the park's site — "Explore Peppa Pig World" or "See Our Rides." On Ghostly Manor, the prize draw ran monthly rather than once, giving players a reason to come back and replay.

Results

Across the three campaigns, Paultons Park logged nearly 100,000 game plays. Peppa Pig World Puzzle brought in 17,000+ double opt-in leads and 38,000+ registrations over three weeks (10–30 June 2025), an 87.9% conversion rate, 400+ hours spent with the brand, and 14,000+ clicks through to "Explore Peppa Pig World." Ghostly Manor – Catch Them If You Can ran from 24 October 2024 to 29 April 2025, generating 2,100+ double opt-in leads, 24,000+ registrations, an 8.3 game-repetition rate per player, 295+ hours of total engagement, and 7,100+ clicks to "See Our Rides." Easter Egg Hunt (25 March–18 April 2025) added 5,500+ double opt-in leads, 20,000+ registrations, an 86.2% conversion rate, 320+ hours of engagement, and 7,700+ CTA clicks.

How it plays

10 steps
  1. 1

Players discover each game through the park's social posts inviting them to win tickets by playing, and click through to the game page on the park's own website.

  2. 2

The seasonal puzzle game asks players to reassemble a Peppa Pig World scene from scattered fragments before a 30-second timer runs out.

  3. 3

Finishing within the time limit unlocks entry to a prize draw, for which players submit their contact details and confirm a double opt-in subscription by email.

  4. 4

The draw offers park entry tickets, a meet-and-greet with Baby Evie and the Peppa Pig family, and a £150 gift card for food and merchandise.

  5. 5

After the result screen, an "Explore Peppa Pig World" button routes players onward to the park's attraction pages.

  6. 6

A companion game, Ghostly Manor – Catch Them If You Can, runs ahead of a new dark ride's opening and frames itself as practice for ghost-catching skills, with monthly ticket prizes for playing.

  7. 7

Players have 60 seconds to catch ghosts and reach 500 points, while catching the Phantom Phaser ends the attempt immediately.

  8. 8

Reaching the score threshold enters players into that month's draw, where ten winners each receive four tickets; the recurring monthly draw drove repeat play, averaging 8.3 attempts per player.

  9. 9

In the Easter Egg Hunt, players fill a virtual basket by catching falling eggs within 45 seconds, and reaching 100 points enters them into a draw for one of five family day passes to the park.

  10. 10

A "See Our Rides" button after the Easter game sends players on to the park's ride pages.
