Objective
Burger King Brazil wanted to reach Call of Duty players without dropping an ad into their game — a way to show up inside gamer culture that felt like part of the play, not a brand interruption, and to turn the community's own competitive instincts into an attachment to Whopper.
Solution
A squad of six drops into a normal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II / Warzone 2.0 match, but first each player renames their in-game tag to a Whopper ingredient — Top Bun, Salad, Cheese, Pickle, Grilled Meat, Lil Bun. The real challenge starts at the end: to complete the mission, the team has to finish the match with the scoreboard ranking their names in the right order, so the post-game leaderboard reads top-to-bottom like a stacked burger. Whoever pulls it off screenshots the scoreboard and posts it, and Burger King DMs the squad with free-Whopper coupons for the whole team. The mission first went out live on Twitch, with Brazilian streamers such as Coringa attempting it on-air and chat unlocking coupons whenever the on-screen squad landed the mission.
Results
The launch stream on Twitch, featuring Coringa (LOUD) and five other streamers, drew more than 30,000 viewers.
- 1
The mission spreads through a Twitch broadcast: streamers pick up the brand's challenge live and attempt it in a real match on the spot.
- 2
A player forms a six-person squad, one for each Whopper ingredient — top bun, lettuce, cheese, pickle, patty, bottom bun — and each teammate renames their in-game profile to that ingredient inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

- 3
The squad drops into an ordinary public match — no branded mode, lobby, or app, just standard play with renamed operators.
- 4
Instead of chasing the win, each player manages their own score so that, at match end, the leaderboard ranks them into their ingredient's exact row — bun on top, bottom bun at the bottom.
- 5
The session ends at the final scoreboard: if the ranking lines up, the leaderboard reads top-to-bottom as an assembled Whopper; if not, the mission fails and the squad restarts the match to try again.
- 6
Completion is proven by a screenshot of the successful leaderboard, which the squad posts to social media as their submission.
- 7
Burger King monitors social media for these posts and DMs the squad with redeemable codes, handing out one free Whopper coupon per teammate.
- 8
Viewers get a parallel reward path: whenever a streamed squad completes the burger order, coupon codes unlock live in that stream's chat for everyone watching.
- 9
The naming trick outlives the campaign as players carry the same ingredient nicknames into other games and platforms, turning unrelated leaderboards into Whopper displays.
