Objective
Gucci sought to transform campaign storytelling around its La Famiglia collection by creating an immersive digital experience that combines fashion, gaming, and interactive AI. Rather than presenting the collection as traditional e-commerce, the brand aimed to deepen consumer engagement through a compelling narrative where players actively participate as detectives solving a mystery, positioning itself as an innovator in luxury's intersection with gaming and artificial intelligence.
Solution
La Famiglia: Mystery Unfolds is an interactive AI-powered detective game launched on Gucci's website where players investigate the theft of the Contessa's jewelry. The experience features characters from the La Famiglia collection lookbook, each depicted as members of an extended Gucci family. Players receive a call from the Contessa, navigate her villa, question suspects through dynamic conversations powered by Google Gemini AI, and gather clues to identify the thief before the evening ends. The AI-driven character responses remain consistent and contextually relevant, remembering previous questions and adapting accordingly to create natural, reactive dialogue. The game seamlessly blends storytelling with visual fashion presentation, functioning simultaneously as entertainment, lookbook, and shopping interface. Built with GSAP, GraphQL, animation, and custom interaction design, the experience was developed by MONOGRID, a Creative Innovation Studio based in Florence and Milan with offices in the Netherlands, Paris, and the USA.

Community voting reached 9.37/10 overall.
