Objective

HTC aimed to promote its newly launched Vive VR headset by creating an interactive, body-motion experience that would engage audiences and demonstrate the immersive capabilities of virtual reality technology. The campaign served as a proof-of-concept for full-body motion controls in VR gaming, inviting consumers to experience the technology firsthand before committing to a purchase.

Solution

An interactive web-based platformer game where players control a character through body motion to navigate the virtual city of Artima and defeat the boss Two Tails. Players used full-body motion controls to survive and progress through the game, ultimately proving their readiness for the HTC Vive VR headset. The experience was developed by creative agency Feels Like and hosted at viveready.htcvr.com, earning Site of the Day recognition on Awwwards for its creativity and interactive design.
