Objective
Technonikhol aimed to increase customer interest in its products and strengthen brand loyalty through an innovative interactive format with a low barrier to entry and a motivating reward. The company sought to attract new audiences by evolving from traditional calendar giveaways to engaging narrative-driven gameplay, establishing a modern approach to customer engagement and product education.
Solution
The campaign deployed a narrative web-quest set across six campus locations — classrooms, a laboratory, a dormitory, a courtyard, an archive, and a server room — where players assumed the role of investigators solving a mystery. The experience opened with a landing-page onboarding that introduced the storyline. Players collected clues through NPC dialogues, identified a suspect (Professor Catherine Morgan), and synthesized an antidote in a laboratory interface. The experience featured linear progression with character interactions and evidence-gathering mechanics, and could be replayed to unlock all dialogues and clues. Game development and distribution were handled by funtech, a digital interactive agency. Successful completion rewarded players with an electronic version of Technonikhol's iconic collectible calendar.
