Objective

Dell needed to make Dell G5 15 stand out in the overheated gaming-laptop category, where it goes up against Alienware and third-party rivals, by translating spec-sheet features like the Intel processor, NVIDIA graphics, and dual cooling into something a gamer would actually feel. Rather than list specs, the brand wanted people to experience the hardware's power directly in the browser.

Solution

Visiting powerwithindell.game drops the player straight into the game — no product page, no download. Before starting, they choose how to play: mouse, keyboard, or gestures read through the webcam. As the session runs, the G5 15's hardware shows up as things happening on screen rather than callouts — the processor's speed, the graphics card's power, the laptop's cooling, and its 4K display all surface through the action itself instead of a spec sheet layered on top.

How it plays

3 steps
  1. 1

The player opens the game directly at its own domain in a browser, landing in a WebGL experience built around the Dell G5 15 laptop with no install or sign-up required.

  2. 2

Before play begins, the player picks an input method — mouse, keyboard, or webcam, with the webcam reading the player's movements in front of the camera as gameplay controls.

  3. 3

Using the chosen input, the player moves through a sequence of challenges, each built around one of the laptop's features — the 8th-gen Intel processor, NVIDIA graphics, dual cooling, and the 4K display — with each spec expressed as an obstacle or effect in the game world rather than stated as a fact.
