Objective
Cadbury launched a seasonal Easter campaign to drive engagement and viral growth for the Creme Egg brand during its annual spring availability window. The campaign aimed to create a playful, shareable experience that would generate social buzz and word-of-mouth marketing around the iconic product launch.
Solution
The Cad-apult was an interactive web-based game that integrated Google Maps to let players select any location on Earth and launch a virtual Cadbury Creme Egg at that target. Players would pull back a virtual catapult and watch the egg 'splat' at their chosen destination—whether a friend's house, a boss's office, or a famous landmark. The mechanic leveraged the novelty of real-world map targeting combined with playful destruction physics, encouraging repeated plays and social sharing as users sent eggs to friends and notable locations worldwide.
Results
