Objective

Klook wanted to shift its image from a discount travel-booking marketplace to a brand built around personal transformation, backed by research showing most travelers see a trip as a way to become a better version of themselves. For its first global brand campaign, marking the company's 10th anniversary, it dropped price- and discount-led messaging entirely and set out to give people a shareable image of themselves as a traveler that led straight into bookable experiences on the platform.

Solution

Players open the one-page quiz on phone or desktop, no login needed, and start by dragging open an on-screen suitcase. From there they move through ten short scenes framed as a journey — one asks what their out-of-office autoreply says, another asks what they do right before bed — answering each by swiping through four card options. After the last question, the quiz reveals one of eight travel personas, such as Chaos CEO or Polaroid Soul, complete with a 3D character, a set of catchphrases, key personality traits, and the persona they're most and least compatible with. From there, players can download or share their result, tap through to book matching Klook experiences, or retake the quiz to land on a different persona.

Results

The quiz drew 1 million unique visits in its first month. The global campaign it anchored reached over 215 million travelers, logged nearly 200,000 hours of watched campaign content, lifted future purchase intent by 64%, and drove double-digit sales growth — more than double the growth rate of previous years.

How it plays

7 steps
  1. 1

The player lands on a single-page site with the headline "What does the best you look like?" and a prompt to take the quiz — no sign-up required to begin.

  2. 2

The player drags a suitcase open with mouse or touch to launch the quiz, and this drag gesture becomes the control for every question card that follows.

  3. 3

Across ten story-driven questions, the player drags to choose one of four short, personality-flavored answers per screen — covering things like an out-of-office message, a preferred airplane seat, a destination glimpsed from a window, a way to skip a queue, a reaction to getting lost, where to stay, a bucket-list activity, a market souvenir, and a final night-time adventure.

  4. 4

The player's answers combine into one of eight MBTI-inspired travel personas — such as Dream Machine, Chaos CEO, or Vibes Millionaire — each shown with its own 3D character and name.

  5. 5

The persona result page displays a "Likely to say" line of characteristic quotes and a "Key traits" list describing the character.

  6. 6

The result also reveals which other persona the player is "Most Compatible" and "Least Compatible" with, shown as avatars, inviting comparison with friends.

  7. 7

The session ends with options to download or share the result card, a "Let's travel" link to bookable Klook experiences matched to the persona, and a "Retake quiz" button to play again.
