Objective
Sprite made the brand's core promise — refreshment — the whole point of play: the game gives players a literal way to "refresh" a city, one Sprite delivery at a time. Released free on iOS, it prioritized reach over any harder sales ask, putting the brand's idea in players' hands rather than pitching them a message.
Solution
The player looks down on a city block dotted with delivery vans and garages marked with a blue arrow. Tapping a van and dragging a finger along the streets draws its route to the garage that needs restocking; each delivery bumps that spot's "freshness" level and adds to the score. As rounds progress, more vans and garages appear and routes get trickier to avoid crashes, while new vans arrive less often, raising the pressure. A run ends the moment two vehicles collide or a garage is left without Sprite.
- 1
The player opens a free iOS app for iPhone and iPad and enters a puzzle-strategy game set on a city block, with streets, Sprite delivery vans, and garages that need supplying.
- 2
The player taps a van on the map to select it, highlighting it as ready for a route.
- 3
The player draws a finger path along the streets to a target garage, marked with a blue arrow, and the chosen route lights up.
- 4
The van drives the drawn route and delivers Sprite to the garage.
- 5
Each delivery raises that garage's freshness level, livening up the district and awarding points; the player tracks every garage's freshness meter and plans the next delivery before any garage runs dry.
- 6
With several vans on the map at once, the player routes each one individually so their paths do not cross and the vehicles do not collide.
- 7
The longer a run lasts, the more vans and garages appear, while new vans arrive less and less often, forcing tighter, more economical routing.
- 8
A run ends when two vans collide or a garage runs completely empty, after which the game restarts and the player tries to beat their score.
