Objective

Singapore Airlines used the Singapore Grand Prix as a hook to grow its KrisFlyer loyalty programme, both signing up new members and re-engaging existing ones, while keeping Singapore visible as a travel destination around the annual race.

Solution

The player is invited into a short quiz about the Singapore Grand Prix, prompted across the airline's channels. Each question tests knowledge of what makes the race unique on the Formula 1 calendar and recalls facts from the previous year's event. After answering, the player fills in an entry form with their contact details, plus an optional field for their KrisFlyer membership number — adding it doubles their odds in the prize draw. Anyone not yet enrolled is offered a free KrisFlyer sign-up on the airline's site before finishing. Everyone who completes the form is entered into a draw for the grand prize: a $6,500 travel package to the race.

Results

32,139 plays per week across all channels, with 40,660 entries and an 80% engagement rate in a single week; one winner received the $6,500 travel package.

How it plays

5 steps
  1. 1

The player enters a Singapore Airlines quiz built around the Singapore Grand Prix, promoted across the airline's channels, with a start screen inviting them to test their knowledge and win a trip to the race.

  2. 2

The player answers a series of questions about the Singapore Grand Prix, covering what makes the race unique on the Formula 1 calendar and facts from the previous year's event.

  3. 3

Finishing the quiz leads to an entry form where the player submits contact details to enter a prize draw.

  4. 4

The same form lets KrisFlyer members enter their membership number to double their odds of winning, while non-members are invited to sign up for the free loyalty program.

  5. 5

Entries go into a draw for a single grand prize: a trip to the Singapore Grand Prix worth $6,500.
