Objective
Cheetos Brazil built the game as its main brand web experience at cheetos.com.br, giving Chester Cheetah a starring role as a kung fu master to entertain the brand's young audience online rather than through a standalone promo microsite.
Solution
The player opens the game on a desktop browser, then pairs a smartphone to the site to use as a motion controller. On screen, Chester Cheetah appears as a kung fu master and demonstrates a move; the player then swings or twists the phone in their hand to copy it, and the desktop screen shows the result of the move in real time. Video, animation, and character sequences keep Chester acting like a live coach rather than a menu of buttons. The player scrolls through the site to move between kung fu lessons, repeating the phone-and-screen routine at each stage.
- 1
The player opens the Cheetos site on desktop: a big screen where mascot Chester Cheetah acts as a kung fu master.
- 2
The player pairs a smartphone with the desktop; the phone becomes the motion controller while the desktop remains the display where the action plays out.
- 3
For each lesson, Chester Cheetah demonstrates a kung fu move on the desktop screen through video and character animation.
- 4
The player mimics the move by swinging the phone; its motion sensors read the gesture and the corresponding strike plays back on the big screen.
- 5
The player scrolls through the site to move from one training screen to the next, progressing through the lessons in sequence.
