Green Building Tour Game
View the case

Objective
HKGBC (Hong Kong Green Building Council) designed the campaign during Green Building Week to engage local residents through interactive gameplay that educates about sustainable architecture and environmental practices. The objective was to build awareness of green building principles—health, wellbeing, resource efficiency, sustainability, and innovation—while encouraging participants to translate knowledge into low-carbon living behaviors.
Solution
A smartphone-accessible web game where participants completed interactive tasks and challenges focused on green building concepts. The experience included a hybrid digital-physical component called the 'Green Building Power Station' (a gashapon-style machine installed in multiple LEED-certified buildings) where players could finish location-based challenges to unlock eco-friendly rewards. The game loop combined video education, multiple-choice questions, score tracking, and reward mechanics to reinforce learning outcomes.
Results
An interactive game was developed for Hong Kong Green Building Council's guided tours to engage participants with green building messages. Specific quantitative metrics regarding total players, session duration, and sustainability behavior impacts were not disclosed in publicly available sources.
