Objective
Barclays sought to create an immersive and memorable fan experience at the ATP World Tour Finals in London. The sponsorship activation aimed to drive engagement with tennis audiences at the tournament's fan zone through innovative interactive technology.
Solution
An interactive tabletop tennis game deployed across five installations in the fan zone at The O2 Arena in London. Players competed in one-on-one digital tennis matches by throwing a virtual ball using hand gestures captured above the screen's surface. The game featured dynamic obstacles and responsive gameplay mechanics. Built with ActionScript 3 and Java, the experience included animated sequences and commercials played between matches. Participants competed in an open-air challenge to win prizes provided by the sponsor.
