Objective
Gazprombank celebrated its 35th anniversary in October 2025 while launching a recruitment campaign on Russia's leading job platform HeadHunter. The bank aimed to strengthen its employer brand among younger job seekers by demonstrating that working at an established financial institution could be fun and culturally relevant, not just stable.
Solution
The campaign featured a browser-based rhythm game inspired by Japanese arcade titles like Taiko no Tatsujin and Osu!, where players pressed a single key (spacebar) to hit on-screen circular markers as they aligned with a template circle, in sync with an original jubilee music track. Accurate hits triggered instant feedback ("perfect," "good," "miss") and built a combo streak. The anime-inspired visual style was a deliberate choice meant to signal cultural relevance — showing younger audiences the bank "gets" their culture rather than feeling outdated. Between gameplay sections, the game displayed information about the bank's corporate culture, office locations, employee stories, and open career opportunities, with HR messaging and a "Vote on hh.ru" call-to-action woven directly into the interface and results screens. An animated anniversary film was integrated into the experience, and participants could earn bonuses/prizes for scoring points. The game was hosted at gazprombank.ru/prm/vritme/, required no registration, and was promoted through HeadHunter's employer rating platform during the October 1–31, 2025 voting period; it stayed playable afterward and was still being featured as an active project as of February 2026.
Results
No public metrics were found regarding player participation, engagement time, or direct results of this specific game. The bank had previously ranked 4th among Russian employers and 3rd among financial institutions in HeadHunter's 2024 rating, also placing in the top 5 of the "Most Popular Among Job Seekers" category; it has taken part in this employer rating for five consecutive years.
