Objective
Maison de la Détection wanted to turn holiday-season browsing into new customers for a niche product — metal detectors — by reaching amateur treasure hunters with entertainment instead of a straight ad. A game let the brand introduce the hobby itself while driving traffic to the store over Christmas.
Solution
The player starts out calmly sweeping a metal detector through a forest, until a wild boar comes charging and the game switches into a full-on run: swipe or tap to dodge trees and obstacles while scooping up gold coins scattered along the path. Survive the chase and you reach a cave stocked with surprises from Maison de la Détection, which hands you off to the brand's store to claim your prize. Illustrations by Vincent Roché and a sound design pass from Match uP carry the mood from quiet woodland to panicked sprint.
Results
Maison de la Détection reported a 30% lift in customer acquisition during the holiday campaign period.
