Objective
Britvic wanted to keep Robinsons Squash top of mind with families heading into summer, reminding parents that the drink has no artificial colours or flavours. The Tastebuddies — seven taste-bud characters Aardman Animations created for the brand, who'd debuted in a June 2008 TV campaign — gave Robinsons a way to carry that message to mums and kids aged 5 to 16 in a form kids already recognised from the ads.
Solution
Return To Tastebuddyland brought the Tastebuddies off the TV screen and onto the Robinsons site, where kids could play through three separate games continuing the characters' story as they made their way back to Tastebuddyland. Each of the three stood alone as its own episode, aimed squarely at a young audience and carried by the same Aardman-animated cast from the commercials. Exactly what players clicked, dragged or solved inside each game isn't recorded in the surviving sources.
