- 1
At a FanDuel retail sportsbook inside a casino, guests encounter a branded Formula 1 racing simulator wrapped in futuristic "Race to Vegas" livery, along with matching promo materials on-site.
- 2
A guest sits down at the simulator and drives a single lap as fast as possible; the objective is simply to set the quickest lap time.
- 3
Each lap time is logged against that specific sportbook's leaderboard, so guests are really competing against other visitors at the same venue.
- 4
The fastest time recorded at each venue advances its driver into a nationwide championship stage against the top qualifiers from other sportsbooks.
- 5
The championship's grand prize is a trip to the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, with campaign-branded PS5 consoles also awarded as prizes.
Objective
FanDuel had built a national network of physical sportsbooks inside casinos but needed a reason for bettors to actually show up on-site rather than stay on the app. With Formula 1 racing into Las Vegas, the brand borrowed that buzz to turn its sportsbook floors into a destination in their own right.
Solution
A branded Formula 1 racing simulator sits on the sportsbook floor, wrapped in sleek, futuristic Race to Vegas graphics. A guest climbs in, straps in, and drives a single timed lap as fast as they can. Their lap time is logged against everyone else who's raced at that location, and the fastest driver at each sportsbook advances to a national championship. The overall winner takes home a trip to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, with a wrapped PS5 handed out as an on-site prize along the way.
