Objective

Jyske Bank wanted branch visits to go smoother for parents by giving their kids something to do while the adults talked to an advisor — a small, always-on gesture toward a family-friendly image rather than a lead-gen push. It also let the bank test one game platform it could reuse across campaigns, landing pages, pop-ups and even staff activities.

Solution

From the kids' section of the bank's site, a child picks one of four simple browser games — no app, no login. They can spot five differences hidden in a scene, piece together a jigsaw puzzle, cast a line to catch fish, or flip cards to match pairs in a memory game. In branch, a QR code in the meeting room lets them launch a game on a parent's phone right at the table; at home, the same links work in any browser. The games are built to take a while rather than resolve in a couple of taps, so a session can run through most of a meeting, and two audio stories about the bank's characters Oscar and Bodil sit alongside them for a change of pace.

How it plays

7 steps
  1. 1

Players reach the game hub either by scanning a QR code in a Jyske Bank branch meeting room while a parent talks with an advisor, or by visiting the bank's kids page "Spil og historier" from home; both lead to the same set of four free games, presented as tiles alongside two audio stories.

  2. 2

"Find 5 fejl" is a spot-the-difference game: the player compares two versions of the same picture and taps to mark five differences between them.

  3. 3

"Puslespil" is a jigsaw puzzle: the player drags and places pieces until the full picture is assembled.

  4. 4

"Fiskespil" is a catching game in the Drop Game format: items fall or move across the screen and the player catches or collects the right ones.

  5. 5

"Vendespil" is a memory game: the player flips face-down cards two at a time, trying to match pairs by remembering their positions.

  6. 6

All four games are tuned harder than a typical children's game, so they take sustained time and attention rather than a quick win, keeping a child occupied for the length of a parent's advisor meeting.

  7. 7

As an alternative to playing, the same page offers two audio stories about the site's characters Oscar and Bodil: "Røveriet," about the day Tom and Trine spot suspicious men burying money in a forest, and "Cirkus," about Mr. Blank falling asleep while looking after Tom and Trine.
