"Where Box Rushes" - HR Mini-app And Web Telegram Bot For Developer Recruitment

Objective

Ozon Tech sought to attract software engineering talent and strengthen its technical employer brand by creating an engaging interactive experience on Telegram. The company designed a gamified recruitment tool to identify qualified developer candidates and collect their contact information for direct recruiter outreach.

Solution

A Telegram Mini App with narrative-driven gameplay centered on characters 'Gosha' and 'Korobchik' (a mascot character). Players progressed through four distinct challenges: OVH Scanner (simulating internal infrastructure verification), Sorting Belt (reaction-based speed game), Traveling Salesman Problem (optimization puzzle), and Gatekeeper Quiz (product and engineering logic questions). Scores ranked on a real-time leaderboard of top 100 players. Candidates submitted personal information via embedded Ozon Forms to enter prize drawings and enable recruiter follow-up. Available as both Telegram Mini App and web version, developed by funtech agency.
