Objective

NIVEA launched this interactive video to promote their newly-released Stress Protect deodorant to younger women during Valentine's Day 2013. The campaign aimed to demonstrate the product's ability to maintain confidence during high-pressure social situations through an engaging digital experience that connected with audience insights about stress management.

Solution

An interactive YouTube video following Emily on a first date with her dream guy. Viewers click on environmental objects throughout a restaurant scene to trigger pre-scripted stressful events—including slapstick, romantic, and comedic moments with a scary stalker—that escalate the couple's stress levels. The interactive format encouraged viewers to explore multiple click-outcomes, resulting in approximately 10 minutes of engagement per session. Built and launched by Agency Republic London with creative direction by Alistair Campbell, copywriting by James Hodson, and direction by Ben Gregor from Knucklehead production company.
