Objective
My Babysitter's a Vampire, a Canadian Teletoon series, needed to deepen fan engagement and extend the franchise beyond traditional TV viewing. The brand created an interactive experience targeted at 9-12-year-old viewers where player voting would directly influence the show's season finale—determining whether a human or vampire ending would air on television.
Solution
Secret Location developed a 3D arcade-style fighting game inspired by Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, where players chose to play as either humans or vampires. The game featured 10 characters from the TV show, 30+ unique combat moves, 5 boss levels, and hidden badges for mastery and exploration. The innovative core mechanic let players participate in a collective vote that determined which of two pre-filmed finale episodes would broadcast—making their gameplay outcome tangible and story-altering. Launched on TELETOON.com as a stereoscopic 3D web game, later released to iOS App Store with additional characters; developed by Emmy-winning Secret Location in partnership with Fresh TV Inc. and FremantleMedia Enterprises.
Results
Humans VS Vampires was the number one most-played web game on TELETOON.com and accumulated over 6.5 million views.
