Objective
The HKSAR Government sought to modernize civic education by making the Basic Law—Hong Kong's constitutional foundation—more engaging and accessible to citizens. Rather than relying on traditional educational materials, the government commissioned an interactive digital game to reach younger audiences and increase understanding of this critical document through entertainment.
Solution
ULTD designed an interactive 3D game island environment with multiple mini-games and quiz mechanics to teach Basic Law concepts. Players answer knowledge questions on various constitutional topics, with performance tracked through a scoring system. The platform features a virtual shop and prize redemption mechanics to incentivize participation. Built with HTML5, Three.js, JavaScript, Blender, and Contentful, the responsive web-based game is accessible across devices and optimized for Hong Kong audiences.
