Objective
Big Bazaar wanted a share of India's football fandom during the 2018 World Cup — second only to cricket in the country — and saw a chance to turn that enthusiasm into store visits rather than just brand awareness. The campaign paired the moment with a tangible incentive: shopping coupons for playing.
Solution
The player finds the effect on Big Bazaar's Facebook page and opens it in the Facebook app's front-facing camera. Their face appears on screen with a 3D football hovering above it, and from there the only input is head movement — tilting and bobbing to keep the ball from dropping, exactly like heading it in a real match. No taps, swipes, or app install: the whole game runs inside the Facebook camera. Keeping the ball up for enough headers unlocks a Big Bazaar coupon redeemable in stores.
- 1
The player finds the game through a Big Bazaar Facebook post or a shared link, and opens it directly in the Facebook mobile app's camera with the branded effect already loaded, with no separate app to install.
- 2
The front camera turns on and shows the player's own face with football-themed campaign graphics overlaid on it, while a 3D ball appears on screen.

- 3
The player controls the ball entirely with head movements, with no taps, swipes, or scrolls, tilting their head to meet the falling ball with their forehead and knock it back upward.

- 4
The core loop is to keep heading the ball upward to build a running streak, trying to keep it airborne for as long as possible.

- 5
Reaching a set number of consecutive headers unlocks a Big Bazaar discount coupon that can be redeemed in stores.
