Objective
Mailchimp built Dumpling Delivery to give its small-business customers — and itself — a few minutes off from the daily grind, not to capture leads or push product signups; the internal Wink Creative team framed it explicitly as a break for people who work hard every day to make their dreams happen. The project also let the team chase a specific nostalgia: the loose, time-wasting fun of early-internet browser games like CandyStand Mini-Golf that this audience grew up on.
Solution
You putt a googly-eyed dumpling instead of a ball around a 9-hole mini-golf course built for the fictional brand Corner Dumplings. Every hole throws something ridiculous in your path — duckicorns, jets of flame, a giant hungry skull — that you have to knock, bank, or thread the dumpling around. Sinking the putt isn't the point: the dumpling has to land on a waiting customer, who rates the delivery with a star score and a written review. Good reviews unlock new dumpling flavors and skins to putt with, giving you a reason to keep playing through the rest of the course. You can play a hole or two straight from the promo site or download the full game free on iOS and Android.
Results
Dumpling Delivery holds a 4.8-out-of-5 rating in the App Store, based on 41 ratings.
- 1
Players load the game directly at dumplingdelivery.mailchimp.com, no separate landing page: a progress bar gives way to a publisher splash, then a title screen with a single Start button.
- 2
Before each round, players pick their dumpling avatar from a row of unlockable skins, cycling through options with arrow controls; locked skins show what round-completion unlocks them.

- 3
A skippable intro cutscene sets up the premise — a delivery van scatters dumplings across the city after an order comes in — and a briefing screen states the goal: round up nine loose dumplings and collect sauce bottles along the way for a hungry customer.

- 4
On each hole the player click-and-drags anywhere on screen to aim and set power, launching the dumpling toward a marked goal; the camera stays fixed rather than following the shot.

- 5
Sauce bottles scattered along the route are optional pickups that add to a bonus tally without being required to finish a hole.
- 6
Each dumpling that reaches its hole joins a trailing group behind the player, so later shots launch the whole accumulated cluster rather than a single piece.

- 7
The round runs through nine holes in sequence, each with its own par, layout and hazards — city streets, park greens, and night courses with traps and fire obstacles — with a scorecard shown after every hole before the next one loads.

- 8
A closing cutscene delivers the last dumpling to the customer, and the round ends with a review screen showing total shots, holes-in-one, bonus sauces collected, and a star rating, alongside options to share or continue.

- 9
Continuing returns to the title screen, where completing the round has unlocked a new dumpling skin, closing the loop into the next playthrough.
