Objective
Les Arcs needed to keep skiers talking about the resort through the heart of a long winter season, and to sell the mountain itself as a giant playground rather than just a place to ski. A daily-return game built around the resort's own "Ready?!" film let the destination stay in front of the same audience for months while collecting entrants for a prize draw of stays, ski passes and on-site activities.
Solution
The player hits Play and drops into a 360° behind-the-scenes film from the resort's "Ready?!" shoot, dragging the view around with a mouse or finger to explore the scene. Hidden somewhere in the panorama is one out-of-place object — a panda, a megaphone, a cow, a burger, a director's chair, a dancer or a baseball bat — and clicking it counts as a catch. Each successful catch earns a spin on a prize wheel, with any win claimed by filling in a contact form. Players can come back once a day to hunt for a new object, and whoever catches all seven before the campaign deadline is entered into the grand-prize draw.
- 1
The player lands on the promo site catchthepanda.com under the slogan "Keep Calm and Catch the Panda" and starts the game with the Play button.

- 2
Play launches a 360-degree panoramic video, a behind-the-scenes making-of film for the resort's "Ready?!" ad.
- 3
The player drags the panorama to look around inside the video, using the mouse on desktop or a finger on phone and tablet.
- 4
The goal is to spot one out-of-place object hidden in the scene among seven possibilities, including a panda, a megaphone, a cow, a burger, a director's chair, a dancer, and a baseball bat, then tap it to complete the round.
- 5
Completing a round earns a spin of a prize wheel for an instant-win reward.
- 6
A win requires filling out a contact form before it is confirmed.
- 7
The player can replay multiple times per day and return on later days of the campaign, each attempt offering a new object to catch and another wheel spin.
- 8
Anyone who catches all seven objects before February 27, 2015 is entered into a draw for the grand prize: a stay in Les Arcs for four people with ski passes and a "day with the panda," valued at €1,800.
