Objective

Dubai sought to present itself as a cultural destination through an innovative mobile game that showcased the city's history, modern lifestyle, and diversity of residents. The game aimed to engage visitors and residents alike by combining entertainment with educational content about Dubai's neighborhoods and heritage.

Solution

Dubai Delivery is a logistics puzzle game released as a free iOS app that lets players manage a delivery company navigating a 3D map of Dubai. As players complete delivery sequences, they progressively reveal neighborhoods and unlock approximately 300 historical and lifestyle facts narrated by real Dubai residents from 15 different nationalities. The game features in-app purchases for coins and delivery acceleration. Development took 6 months; an iPad version and Arabic localization were planned.

Results

The game achieved 25,000 total downloads with 3,000–4,000 regular active users, with geographic distribution roughly split between the Arab world (primarily Saudi Arabia and UAE) and North America/Europe. It won an mFWA award and was selected for Spain's Espacio Enter Digital Art Festival.
