AS&E: MINI Z Imaging Challenge

Objective

AS&E created this gamified experience to introduce the MINI Z Backscatter imaging system—a handheld security scanner for threat detection at borders and ports—to enterprise customers and generate qualified sales leads. The challenge was to make a complex, specialized security technology accessible and engaging for decision-makers unfamiliar with the product.

Solution

A gamified web microsite where users simulate threat detection across unique locations using an interactive virtual scanner. The experience features a custom cursor mechanic that mimics the scanning viewport, parallax animations with accelerometer support for mobile, and interactive educational elements about device capabilities. Built with GSAP for animation and integrated with Salesforce to capture and qualify leads from user interactions.

Results

The gamified microsite won FWA Site of the Day recognition. Salesforce integration was used to capture leads through an interactive experience where users engaged in simulated threat detection scenarios.
