Objective

Seub Nakhasathien Foundation, Thailand's leading wildlife and forest conservation organization, aimed to raise urgent awareness about the country's severe deforestation crisis. With Thailand losing over 40% of its forest cover in 50 years (from 68 million acres in 1961 to 40 million by 2015), the campaign sought to mobilize opinion leaders and secure donations to support forest rangers working to preserve the remaining forests.

Solution

A physical jigsaw puzzle depicting Thailand's damaged rainforest was designed and distributed to Thai opinion leaders. Each puzzle included the stark statistic that during the typical 3 hours needed to complete it, a forest area equivalent to 138 football fields would be cleared. The puzzle served as a tangible awareness tool, urging recipients to share the message about the deforestation crisis with the public and contribute financial support to the foundation's conservation efforts.
